Between the border of Tsavo and Amboseli, the unpaved roads and the bushes are still a hideaway for bandits. Guarded men guide tourists along this trip to make sure no one gets killed or robbed. The only people who survive in this isolated desert are the Maasai who herd their cattle in the dust. The road to Amboseli is known for its high rate of robberies.
